Standing on the border
Holding his gun
Facing tough weather
Daring to stare into the sun
Unknown to many
Dear to some
He is the nation's true son
He,knows no religion
Sees no caste
Just praying that his efforts
Don't go waste.
He,sacrifices his life
For nation's name
He is nations son
Who wants no fame
Alone he never stands
Coz he has many friends
Who will stand in deep sand
Whose support never ends
Swims deep waters
Climbs tall hills
Of hardships he does not bother
It gives him the thrill
It's coz of people like him
We soundly sleep
They guard our nation
Everyday day of the week
They never take rest
Ever ready they are
To thwart enemy's zest
Saluting their efforts
I proudly stand
Giving recognition
To these angel selves
singing their glory
Singers never tire
Coz what guides them
Is their heart's desire
But,in their praise
Let's not forget
The ones who help
Make our nation itself
They are our teachers
Those very souls
Whose lack of appreciation
Turns their presence to ghoul
Like a matchstick
lighting a candle
Their guidance helps us
Step out of the cradle
Move into the world
Sit in our own saddle
I stand in gratitude to them
Coz ignoring them would be a sin
Moving on I talk
Of the doctors
Who treat people of all walks
Never let them suffer
Theirs is a divine job they say
Then why not recognize them? I pray
If you feel indebted to them
A few words of praise
Let me say
Working for long hours
without a break
Giving us hope
When sane say 'nay'
Now moving onto
Few of the rest
Who we forget in our zest
Those lowly souls we say
Trying to clean all the waste
We ignore them as inferior beings
While they toll to keep the surroundings clean
For lack of space
I took a few names
Wanted to convey
Everyone has his place
For we cannot lose a single type
This will make us lose our might
I now salute
The people of nation
Show my gratitude
For not leting it be an abberation
If we be as humble
As we can be
I assure to one and all
We shall never be sorry
